India has landed her Chandraysn – 3 on moon today on 23rd August of 2023. It is a marvel of technology that India has mastered. It is good for humanity and cherished achievement for India as a member of the world community. Congratulation India!
The flag of emerging new India of 21st century has an inscription in golden letters to this effect: “One Home, our one home – planet Earth; One Family – our one family of human beings; One Future – we all members of this family are sailing on a boat called Earth towards one destination.”
India must get mastery over the working of material world – that is, mastery over ever cutting-edge knowledge of science and technology. The foundation of this mastery is reason powered by our mind.
But this mastery over the material world is only the first phase of India’s “mission knowledge” and not her end aim. India aims something bigger than this and beyond mind and its reason.
The mastery over the secrets of this material universe is only a stepping stone to something else, something better. India must also proceed further and learn to quiet mind and its reason to know what lies beyond this material world – a world that is subtle, more complex in its formation and beyond the reach of mind and its reason. The foundation of science and technology of this subtle world is not mind and its reason but Yoga where we need to quiet our mind and reason.
The mastery over the working of subtle universe is far more significant and of better utility for humans than the mastery over the working of material universe. But still, the first phase is the first phase and necessary to move towards the second phase – because the path to second phase goes through the human mind and its reason and not through narrow fundamentalism.
First mind and reason and then beyond mind beyond reason – and our aim all the time remains steadfastly centered on truth – truth of matter and truth of what is beyond matter.
