Time to Remove Loudspeakers on Temples, Mosques, Gurudwaras etc. in India !

One expert has one brain and two experts have two brains. They cannot compare in their output with the crowd-sourcing of brains. Crowd-sourcing of knowledge has a great advantage over the knowledge of experts, how big experts they might be. You might have seen the “KBC” show hosted by Amitabh Bachhan – when the person on the “Hot Seat” is not able to answer the question, he requests the “audiance” to give an answer; and the answer given by the audiance is invariably correct. It is called the crowd-sourcing of knowledge.

We are talking here of the experts who are advising the government of India. They are not advising the government of India enough and properly. People are saying something else. What the people – crowd – feel is obvious. India has many enemies within and no attention is paid to them. It is not about court of law, court cases and police arrests. Such tactics by any government are mean in nature – hitting below the belt. It is cowardice – it is leaving the strong opponent aside to save one’s face and twisting the ear of the weak. Let India face the true opponent, the true enemy.

India is not internally secured. It has many enemies within. It is a great task of the central government to make India an internally secured country. If India is not internally secured, she cannot do anything.

Rising India has many important tasks to take care of – she is full of problems. Every country has the plethora of problems – but it is not that important how those problems are solved by them; the more important thing is the “order” in which they are solved. It is a matter of selecting the priority – which one of them is more important to be solved first. Sometime, if you make a mistake in this respect – in chosing the wrong priority – then you are doomed forever. It is that important.

Securing India internally is the top priority for a rising India – if you make a wrong priority – “sabka sath, sabka vikas”, or replying to China’s enmity and border incursions or tackling the terrorism emanating from Pakistan (a la Balakot) or “make in India”, or “reforming” the agriculture sector or anything else – you are doomed; India will be doomed; you cannot do anything; you cannot save India from a horrible future. You will be most likely a story of the history for coming generations.

India needs a mid-course correction in its priority; it needs to divert its attention from some concerns and fix it to something else – fixing it to secure India internally. Other problems – other concerns – can wait for their time but not this problem, the problem of securing India from within.

The reasons why Indian central leaders are not willing to address this problem head-long so far – or have not been able to solve it so far – may be twofold: the international concerns and the compulsions of domestic dynamics of Indian polity. There may be pressure from the so-called democratic countries, like USA, not to go to the required length to tackle this issue (under the high-sounding lable of “human rights” violation).

To avoid such unwanted pressures from the self- proclaimed champions of human rights and democracy, if India is to elect either of the two paths “respect from international community or putting its internal house in order” India should unhesitatingly elect the later option. If India is required to lie low for some time in the international community to be able to solve its internal security problem, it should just opt to lie low for now – till its house is put in order and is secured.

China had already successfully adopted such path of remaining internationally aloof for some time. And today she talks to USA with eyeball to eyeball. Internally weak and fragile India cannot play any worthwhile role on any international fora. Nor any foreign power would ever come to India’s rescue, if India is internally threatened. This our note of caution also reflects on the wrong decision recently taken by our govt. to invite the Kashmiri separatist leaders to Delhi to hold talks with the PM. This move is nothing but to rekindle again an already extinguished fire of terrorism in Kashmir. Such moves are dangerous in their consequences for India.

Then, there may be other reasons for our leaders not being able to meet head-long the threat to India’s internal security. One concern may be the fear of an internal disturbance in India. On this concern suffice it to say that if it is difficult for our leaders to address this problem today, then it will be manifold more difficult for them to address it tomorrow.

There may be other reasons too. We understand, there may be some compulsions – some commitments – to go for other priorities like enacting farm laws but the commitment to a secured India should be of the top priority. It is the bad aspect of democracy that it needs money – a colossal amount if money – to come to power and that the money comes from those who have money, who extract promises and commitments in return. But for them – those who have money to give it for political reasons – India is never a top priority. If India is to survive as a Hindu majority democracy, let them and their money wait for their time.

How to secure India internally? Let the government of India be committed and devoted to the spirit of Indian constitution. Indian constitution is what the Supreme Court of India says it is. There is a Supreme Court judgment of long standing time that holds that the enjoyment of a peaceful life without “noise pollusion” is a fundamental right of Indian citizens guaranteed under article 21 of the constitution. Let this right be ensured to the citizens by the force of Indian state by launching a nation-wide action to remove loudspeakers from every mosque, temple, gurudwara etc.

Everybody has a right to pray to his God in his house and without making any noise through loudspeakers. We think there would be no objection for removing loudspeakers from their worship places by Hindus, Sikhs etc. and there may be some opposition from some Muslims for such removal. If they object, let them object – they swear by the constitution of India and let their hypocricy be exposed. The Indian state must carry on its work – the work of removing loudspeakers – and let the writ of law prevail in India.

This is the first step for securing India internally. Let other things – like enacting a Uniform Civil Code – remain in the waiting queue.

If the Govt of India doesn’t do this – doesn’t have courage or mind to do this – let the Yogiji government of UP do it in its state. Obviously, it will consolidate Hindu votes in UP for the coming UP election. The ongoing blitzkrig of BJP by leting loose its IT cell’s campaign of ‘attacking Congress party etc’. or of ‘highlighting how Islam has committed genocide against Hindus’ or ‘how Islam’s leaders have been double-speak telling lies’ is not likely to yield the results desired by BJP. The fate of this blitzkrig may be like the Atal Bihari Bajpai’s “Shining India” campaign. People in this age of information revolution have become wiser. They do not trust the words of leaders – however fittingly the words are spoken; they want to see the words proved by action.

The fact is in securing India internally nothing has been done so far, except making a high-sounding noise about this danger.

Much damage has already been done to the Hindu unity by taking such untimely steps like enacting controversial farm laws and the good image of Yogiji as a straight forward action oriented leader has been dented by his unequivocal support to these controversial measures.

It is high time that Yogiji stands on his own feet and correct his image of a no-nonsense leader capable to show a path to India by launching a drive in his state to remove loudspeakers from worship places – irrespective of any consideration of caste or creed.

This one step of Yogiji would be enough for electing him again as CM in UP. This single step of Yogiji would be more powerful in its result than the entire propaganda exercise of the BJP’s IT cell.
