The foundation of Lord Sri Ram Temple has been laid in Ayodhya today on 5 August 2020. It has been made possible only because the highest forum of the Indian judiciary has held that at this very spot before Babari Mosque there was a Ram Temple, and that this land must be given to Hindus for construction of the temple of Sri Ram. This much everyone knows.
Laying down of the foundation and the construction of Sri Ram’s temple thereon has a symbolic value – a value that has one meaning for Hindus who got this land and another meaning for Muslims who lost the same.
One would be naive to think that this judicial verdict has buried the Hindu-Muslim dispute over this land for all times to come. Though the court held that it was a land dispute between the two communities – and decided the same between the two rival claimants in its usual manner – in fact, it was not a land dispute. Going by the challenging statements thrown by fanatic Muslims, the dispute between the two communities has not been resolved, it has merely been deffered – postponed – to some future date.
The fanatic elements among the aggrieved party are openly threatening that they are only waiting their hour. According to them, it is not the right time now and their hour will soon come. Those who are not understanding its plain and simple meaning – whether they be among the ordinary public or among those whose business is to govern this country – are proverbial blind with their open eyes.
There is a fable but with a sensible meaning: When faced with a cat, a pegion closes its eyes to save itself from the cat! One can close one’s eyes but by that device the reality does not change. For him, it is his fate.
There was a Ram temple at this very spot in Ayodhya – it has been so held by the Indian Supreme Court. This judicial verdict does not add any weight to the truth that is so open – the truth that there was once a Ram temple here – except that this verdict is supposed to be ‘the only proof’ that is acceptable to the legally defeated community. But why any proof at all was needed for plain things by this community?
It needs no proof that India was a Hindu land before Islam came here; that long long back Lord Sri Ram was regarded an incarnation of God by these Hindus; that Islam does not permit idols and images of any god in temples; that in India innumerable temples of Hindus were destroyed by victorious Islam and converted into mosques (many of which still stand today – including mosques in Mathura and Kashi (Benaras); that it was an improper thing in the eyes of Hindus and it was proper one in the eyes of Islam; that it (replacing temple with mosque) was made possible only because at that time Islam – Be it Babar or anybody else like him – was the ruler of India. Does it need a judgment of Supreme Court to prove this truth? Only the most stupid or the most willy a person would demand of a proof of such historical facts.
Islam was able to accomplish all its fanatic merits to its credit only because it was the ruler at that time and at those places where such things happened. Islam is most devout religion on Earth in carrying out its religious obligations. It has proved this devotion to its religious obligations in the past and it is still proving this devotion to these obligations in the present today in Pakistan, Bangladesh and at a large number of other places where it is ruling as the supreme power.
It is most logical to hold that in future too it will perform this devotion very faithfully to these religious obligations – in places where it comes to power as a ruler; and India is no exception to this logical conclusion. Only one who does not want to face the reality or one who knows this reality but has vested interest in not admitting it would deny its truth.
While Islam is the most devout religion in carrying out its fanatic religious obligations, Communist China is the most wily nation on Earth to use notoriously most inhuman methods against Islam in its Uygar province, and still it has not been able to solve this fanatic problem there. This is the power of their devotion.
If India does not bring very soon – very soon may be within two / three years – strict population control framework (framework and not the policy) applicable equally to all religious communities, the story of Hindus of India as well as their Constitution, of which they are very proud and under which they live a peaceful life today, shall be over in a few decades from now. It is dead-certain. As they say, it is written on the wall.
Most likely, it will be their “fate” – unless they bring (and bring when they are able to bring) the strict population control law.
If India is late in doing so, it will be too late to be able to do so. India – as we know it – is slowly and steadily walking towards the begining of its end. Despite all the heroic efforts that India is making today – like make in India, new education framework, achievements in science and technology, political awakening to its past history and its present challenges – all will go down the drain before its own eyes. This doomsday will come its way because of the demographic change that India is rapidly undergoing today.
We know that India is faced with great difficulties today – like defending itself against China, catching up in the race of defence technology, dealing with internal enemies of India, putting its economy again on rails after the current pandemoc etc. But all these difficulties pale into insignificance in comparison to the problem it will soon face because of the demographic change that is currently under way. Today the top most priority for India should be to take prompt measures to control its population.
This demographic change is rapidly bringing into existence a new reality, that is, accomplishing an aim without the power of sword, which the sword of Mughals could not accomplish. As of today – and in the forseeable future too – India is ruled by votes – the votes of people divided by their religious identities. If we do not live in a fanciful world of dreams, we would admit without the slightest hasitation that what matters for a nation is its ruler and that the ruler is decided in India by its votes of religiously divided people.
The previous governments assidiously avoided counting the number of Hindus, Muslims, Christians as separate communities – under the pretence that it would bring communal discord between them and destroy cohesion of India as one nation. There is no merit this false ground. It is a hard fact that Muslims of erstwhile united India had demanded and got Pakistan on the sole ground that Muslims are a separate community with its own separate culture, which culture is just opposite to Hindus in its ethos, ideals and heroes and that Muslims cannot live together with Hindus in united one India.
It is as valid a ground for them today for being a different community as this ground was for them in 1947 when they asserted this difference. It was as wise an exercise for the post 1947 India to count the number of the communities of Hindus, Muslim etc. in its early political life as it is today. But this counting has never been done. This omission whether then under a false pretence or now under carelessness – or for eagerness to be ‘politically correct’ – is mortally fatal for democratic India and at the peril of the life of Hindus.
Suffering under this limitation – absence of a reliable data of separate religious communities – one is left with no option but to depend on the data available in public domain on internet etc. Some of the Population Statistics of India from Year 1948 to 2017 and the expected statistics on the same lines up to Year- 2041 in India are as below:
Year- 1948: Hindu : 88.2 % Muslim: 6 %
Year- 1951: Hindu: 84.1 % Muslim: 9.8 %
Year- 2011(Estimated): Hindu: 79.8 % Muslim: 15.0%
Year- 2011 (Official): Hindu: 73.2 %
Muslim: 22.6 %
Year- 2017 (Actual): Hindu: 68.6 %
Muslim: 27.2 %
Year- 2021(Estimated): Hindu: 65.7 % Muslim: 32.8 %
Year- 2031 (Estimated): Hindu: 60.4 % Muslim: 38.1 %
Year- 2037 (Estimated): Hindu: 55.0 % Muslim: 43.6 %
Year- 2040 (Estimated): Hindu: 30.5% Muslim: 66.9%
Year- 2041 (Estimated): Hindu: 11.2 % Muslims: 84.5 %
This 2040 is not a far off date, we are already living in 2020, which is only 20 years away!
